Streets of Kozbeyli Village

Located 15 kilometers from the city center of Foça, it stands out with its view overlooking the unique Gencerlik Bay on the slopes of Şaphane Mountain, historical buildings, nostalgic streets and greenery. At the same time, it was founded by the Ottomans and later became a settlement of Greeks.

This village, full of history, is among the places worth visiting, surrounded by old stone houses, a forest of pine trees and olive trees dating back hundreds of years. You can watch the unique sea view from the courtyard of the mosque located at the top of the village and visit the Kuzubeyi Tower located right next to it. In these streets, where there are many beautiful places, there is also an ice cream shop that is especially popular and has queues at its door. In terms of accommodation, there are also hotels and hostels in this region, both sea-facing and slightly inland.

Kozbeyli Village is a village known not only for its natural structure and intact historical texture, but also for its famous dibek coffee. You can enjoy the mystical atmosphere of the village with Dibek coffee at Şakir’s Place, located in the village center.

The village is located 4.5 km ahead of the Kozbeyli sign after turning from the Eski Foça turnoff on the İzmir Çanakkale road with your own vehicle. If you do not have a private vehicle, Kozbeyli buses departing from Ulukent İZBAN station are another way to easily reach the village.
